Sodick was founded as a small EDM manufacturer over 30 years ago in Yokohama, Japan. Ever Since our founding, we have been pursuing our belief that “no technological advance can be made by just imitating others” and “we fulfill our customers needs” with our company’s mission of “Create (Sozo)”, “Implement (Dikko)” and “Achieve (Curoh Kokufuku)”.

Since we developed the LORAN technology (electrode induction device with numerical control technology) that has dramatically improved the accuracy of the molds for the first time in the world, we have always anticipated and taken advantage of the latest technologies and management styles such as in-house development of CNC, production transfers to overseas, linear motor driven machines and MBO (management buy-out), that are now taken for granted in today’s world. Currently, we are expanding our business into wide range of fields such as High-Speed Milling Machines, Plastic Injection Molding Machines, Food Processing Machines and Neodymium Magnets.
