- Spindle(Z-axis) is operated by linear motor drive
- Latest electrode"Zero wear"machining characteristic and further improved new EDM stable machining circuit "SGFII" (wear rate of electrode is 0.006%)
- Small footprint machine construction utilizing the latest design technology
- New EDM control (LMX32), enabling simple operation
- High quality finishing circuit, "SVC" is standard
- Auto-programming support system which can handle the latest EDMing conditions is standard.

- Linear motor drive is used for Z-axis motion
This high-speed EDM is an affordably priced model and introduced as an entry level machine, but proudly is equipped with a linear motor drive for the Z-axis. Linear motor drive proves its power for high speed motion, accurate positioning and quick response. The no mechanical contact linear motor system stabilizes the performance, resulting in much higher reliability. Together with a linear scale, high precision machining is possible. |

- "SGF" circuit enabling "Zero wear" and also "SVC" enabling high-speed and high-quality machining are equipped
| With the use of the"Zero wear" machining feature by "SGFII", machining from roughing to finishing is possible with one electrode. This special capability proves its feature in a deep narrow rib machining. 3μmRz is possible with "SVC". With an ultra-fine surface finishing circuit(option), high-quality surface finish of 0.8μmRz is possible. |
 |
- Compact machine design
| A service tank is designed to be located beneath the machine to enable a low total machine height, thus the installation area has become small enough to be placed on the 2nd, 3rd or higher floor. |
 |
- Easy-to-operate control "LMX32" is equipped to enable high-level machining
With the program assist software, "LN ASSIST", handling enormous cutting conditions, even a beginner can machine at the level of a veteran's work. With an excellent recognition of the control, enabling intuitional simultaneous judgment, quick operation is possible.
(※):5th generation control
Transferring the correct information quickly using 1Gbit/sec technology, this high-speed data processing means Sodick compiled technology, "Perfect Active Control" brings forth ultra-high-efficiency control. Simultaneous recognition of the ever changing EDMing condition and situation enables ideal EDMing, such as high-speed and stable EDMing, without arcing, from textured surfaces to mirror finishes and zero-wear machining.
