Linear-motor-drive, precision wire-cut EDM
AP450L

|
The current finished products require higher and higher precision machining. This model is designed and developed to satisfy this manufacturing trends and requirements from a small to a large sized workpiece. This satisfaction comes with Sodick's own technical elements.
AP450L realizes ultra-high-precision machining thanks to linear motors on 4 axes and high-rigidity cross-roller guides, developed and manufactured by Sodick. You can select the most suitable machine type from 3 different dielectric fluid of water, oil and water/oil, in accordance with your machining condition. |
|
- Newly developed power unit, "LQW1" Power Supply, integrating 3-D solid models
3-D solid models automatically define optimum machining conditions to enable unmanned operation and significant saving of manpower.
- Machine performance to the extremes of precision, functionality and quality
The linear-motor drive on 4 axes, high-rigidity cross-roller guides with minimum friction and unique Super PIKA circuit for ultra-fine fishing realize machining to an excellent precision.
- Various machining requirements are satisfied by the different dielectric fluid of either water, oil or water/oil
The lineup of three machine types satisfies a wide variety of machining methods: water machining excellent in machining speed, oil machining suitable for fine machining and water/oil machining versatile both in machining speed and accuracy.
- Maintenance-free design
The linear-motor drive without ball screws eliminating the torsion and wear of the drive system components and the use of ceramics for main structural components maintain high machining precision over a long period.
